SEX, BEAUTY AND BEING IN LOVE

Sex and beauty, help create happiness in a love environment, but they do not constitute being in love.

It takes more than sex and beauty to be in love. And people can fall in love without sex and beauty. These are physical things. Being in love is a deeper inner feeling of security, trust and loyalty, which basically means you have someone to be there for you and support you all the time. This assurance is far much greater than sex and beauty. Because sex and beauty is temporary but being in love lasts ‘forever’. The love will always keep flowing and the feeling will always be there, while beauty and sex fades away.

Note: Being in love is easy; staying in love is hard. It takes commitment, tolerance and a lot of genuine apologies to stay in love.

Thoughtfullness

One day, a ten-year-old boy went to an ice cream shop, sat at a table and asked the waitress, "How much is an ice-cream cone?" She said, "seventy-five cents." The boy started counting the coins he had in his hand. Then he asked how much a small cup of ice-cream was. The waitress impatiently replied, "sixty five cents." The boy said, "I will have the small ice-cream cup." He had his ice-cream, paid the bill and left. When the waitress came to pick up the empty plate, she was touched. Underneath were ten cent coins as tip. Moral of the Story: The little boy had consideration for the waitress before he ordered his ice-crearn. He showed sensitivity and caring. He thought of others before himself. If we all thought like the little boy, we would have a great place to live. Show consideration, courtesy, and politeness. Thoughtfulness shows a caring attitude. Where Does the Time Go...

I always seem to have something to say, but I never sit down to type it out. Not that you all need to hear what I have to say, especially since you get to hear me Wednesday night and Sunday morning. God is doing amazing things here at the New Life Center. This past Sunday we started our new sermon series (pictured above) to a great response from the people. What great expectation that everyone had for this series and what great things God began to do in the NLC. This series has been a while in the making and finally came into being for such a time as this. To help me in this series, I've read a couple books. First, "Living in the Spirit," by George O. Wood. Second, "Forgotten God," by Francis Chan. Third, was a book written by a few different authors on how to help others recieve the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I've listened to some CD's from Tim Enloe on the baptism in the Spirit. Plus, reading and studying the scriptures. I'm looking for
